Yes, that is his mouth coming out of the top of his head on a retractable "neck" and yes, one of the guys is carrying a gun. Crazy game designers!!!!
Hope you like him... all Photoshop.

Here’s some recent concept art that I created for Mind Storm Lab's "Alpha Omega" table-top RPG. These two ancient foes are battling it out in the skies above the barren terrain while lesser soldiers battle in the air below them.
Hope you like em!
Here’s some recent concept art that I created for Mind Storm Lab's "Alpha Omega" table-top RPG. These two mutated creatures are fighting it out for survival. The Gorilla has melded with a Hornet and the Alligator is also part Centipede.

Next-Gen (textured / shaders) Toon-shaded style is the Art Direction for the project. This guy has cybernetic implants and two electro-swords. He's a bit of a bad-A___.

Hope you like him...

Thanks for looking.

Same schtick, toon-esque next-gen look (textures and outlines) that I've tried to capture here.

As with my fighter design, the BG is just for context.
Thanks for looking...

Hey everyone... wow, it has been A LONG time since I posted an image to view. I've been working my a$$ off on a bunch of projects and I can finally show some work.

The style of the project is a Next Gen comic book-esque look (so textures with toon shader outlines). This is a proof of concept image that is trying to capture that look... as well, the proportions have deliberately been exaggerated.

I'll post a few more characters on the weekend.

Looking forward to your comments.

Everyone else seems to be doing this so here goes:
This was my entry into the GSO challenge titled "Tomorrows End". I used a combination of sketches and Maya to block out the image but the final image is 100% Photoshop.
Just thought I'd throw it out there and see what you think. Specifically I'd love to hear what you think it's lacking. Certainly there were lots of crits on the lack of perceived POV in the piece (are we looking down or up) and on who was attacking whom. Any other comments / crits of that ilk would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Game Concept Environment

I'm doing a series of game concept environments for a project. I've been given a video grab of a scene and then I've painted over it in Photoshop to give it the mood and feel they're looking for. After these are all done I'll be painting the textures to try and replicate the feel of these paint-overs.
The top image is the source file, the bottom is the completed paint over.
Any comments appreciated.

A pretty quick Dragon illustration that I did for a thread on another site. I spent most of my time on the Dragon itself and then threw a background together (as you can tell).
About 6 hours in Photoshop.
If you click for the Hi-Rez image you'll get a close-up of the image.
Hope you like him!
